Malignant Mesothelioma

Malignant Mesothelioma is a cancer that attacks on the Mesothelium of the individual. Mesothelium is a protective layer that covers the internal organs of the human body and is divided in various parts at different levels namely: - Peritoneal, Pericardial, Pleural and Tunica Vaginalis for Gut, Heart, Lungs and Testicles respectively. This form of Mesothelioma is caused due to the exposure to Asbestos at the workplace or other level.

Mesothelioma – The Occupational link.

People working in the Asbestos Mining, Shipyards, Brake Shoe Factories, Insulation and other Asbestos related industries are in a grave danger of contracting Mesothelioma. The lacerating nature of Asbestos particle is mostly responsible for the large carry-grounds of the Asbestos fibers. Over the days, the individuals working in the environment that has Asbestos in the roles are known to present Mesothelioma. In the U.S. Occupational Safety and health Administration sets limits for the allowed levels of Asbestos exposure to the workers in there workplace. The workplaces are thoroughly checked for having all possible hygiene related factors, respirators, jackets, waning signs and etc.

Not only the people who are affected by Mesothelioma face the threat of contracting the same but the family members of such people also run a danger of getting Mesothelioma, due to a possible inhalation of the Asbestos particle. To reduce the chances of the same, people working in such environment are requested to take a shower after returning from the work and follow all the working standards back at there workplaces.

Recent Findings in Mesothelioma.

Recent findings show that a mineral mined called Erionite causes Mesothelioma in the ones who have history of Mesothelioma in there family more than the individuals who show no history of the same.
